Restricting learner access by email domain to an Online Link course

You can restrict who can access your Online Link course to ensure that only those with an accepted email domain are permitted to launch it.

When a learner launches a domain-restricted course, they will be prompted to provide their name and email address. If their email address matches one of the accepted domains, they will be emailed a separate unique link that they can use to access the course.

Note

When enabled in tandem with learner PII collection, this is also a useful way to identify learners taking an Online Link course in your Analytics dashboard. For more information, see Identifying learners in an Online Link Release.

Disabling PII capture will not prevent you from using domain restriction. In this case, the course will intially collect the user‘s details to email the course to them but it will obfuscate them in Elucidat Analytics.
