Releasing a course that reports xAPI learner data

Once you’ve set up an LRS endpoint in your Create account, you can choose which of your courses reports xAPI data to it when you create a release.

Both the Online Link and the SCORM release types can be configured to report xAPI data. You may select more than one endpoint at a time if you have several different LRSs you’d like to report to.

Before you begin

If this is your first time creating a release, we recommend reading Publishing your first Online Link course and Publishing your first SCORM course to understand how the basic process works before enabling additional configurations.

This article focuses solely on how to add xAPI tracking to your course. However, there are other options that control who can access it and what kind of data is collected from your learners. For guidance on the other configuration options, see Additional configurations

Applying an xAPI endpoint to a release

  4. Choose one or more endpoints from the Include LRS endpoint (optional) drop-down menu. If you have already set a default endpoint, it will already be chosen for you.
  5. Configure your release to your preference. For guides on the other configuration options, see Applying additional configuration to your release.
  6. Click Create Release to release your course

Additional configurations

You can configure your release in several different ways. See the articles below for more information on each option:
