In Elucidat, you publish courses to your learners by creating a release.
One of the types of releases you can make is an Online Link. When you create an Online Link release, it will become available via a web link (URL). Learners can use this link to open the course directly in their browser. This makes it a great option if you don’t use a Learning Management System (LMS).
In this tutorial, you will create a standard Online Link release and launch it in your browser.
This guide focuses on the quickest route to creating a shareable URL. If you need to adjust learner access, tracking, or analytics, see Additional configurations at the end of the article.
Creating an Online Link release
- Open the Project you’d like to release
- Open the Export menu from the top toolbar
- Click Create a Release
- From the drop-down menu, choose the language you’d like to include in the release.
- Switch to the Online Link tab to configure your release
- Ensure Anyone with the link is chosen from the Who can access drop-down menu
- Click Create Release to generate the course URL
A pop-up window will display confirming that your release was successful. This pop-up also contains the link to your course. See Launching the course for the next steps.
Launching the course
You can launch the course immediately by copying the URL from the pop-up window.
- Click Copy link to copy the course URL to your computer’s clipboard
- Paste the link into your browser’s address bar
- Press Enter
The course will load in your browser.
Finding the link again later
If you need to find the link again, you can copy it from the release management window.
- In your Project, open the Export menu from the top toolbar
- Click Manage releases
- Find the release in the list
- Click the release’s ellipsis menu
- Click Copy link
