How to Add a User as a Reviewer
Overview
Before a team member or Subject Matter Expert (SME) can review a course, they need access as a Reviewer. You can add reviewers in two ways:
- In advance via User Management / Teams
- On the fly directly from the "Create a review" modal
Method 1: Pre-Inviting a Reviewer via Teams / User Management
Use this method if you want to set up user accounts for team members before configuring a specific review.
- Go to your account settings and navigate to User Management (or Teams).
- Click Add a user.
- Enter the email address(es) of the user(s) you wish to invite.
- Set the Elucidat Create User Role to Reviewer.
- Click Send Invitation.
What happens next? The invitee will receive an account activation email containing a link to register and set up their password. When they log in, they will land on the Reviews page. If they haven't been assigned to a review yet, they will see a placeholder screen indicating that assigned reviews will appear there once created.
Method 2: Inviting a Reviewer Directly from the "Create a Review" Modal
Use this method to invite new or existing reviewers while configuring a review session for a project.
- Open your course in Elucidat Create, select Export, and click Create a review (or open Manage reviews on an existing review).
- In the Add reviewers field, search for or type the email address of the reviewer:
- Existing users: Select their name from the auto-suggested drop-down list.
- New users: Enter their full email address and click Add.
- Complete the remaining review details (Review Name, Due Date, Comment Visibility) and click Create review.
What happens next?
- Existing Users: They receive an email notification containing a direct link to open the review.
- New Users: If the entered email address doesn't match an existing user in the system, an invitation email is automatically sent prompting them to sign up and activate their account. Upon completing activation, they are logged in and taken straight to the Reviews page where their assigned reviews are ready to view.
