Custom Content Block: Versatility in Design We are introducing a powerful new Custom Content Block that gives you much more control over the structure and layout of your courses. Rather than relying solely on standard blocks that pre-package a title, text, interaction, and footer, you can now add standalone elements—such as just text, just an image, or just an accordion.
- Two-Column Layouts: You can now switch to a two-column layout, moving away from standard single-width constraints. You have full control to choose device size breakpoints and adjust the column split, whether you want an equal 50/50 split or a 70/30 configuration.
- Seamless Integration: The Custom Content Block works exactly like regular content blocks when it comes to assessments, completion tracking, and automated translations. You also retain full flexibility to apply your brand's heading styles.
- Note: Regular content blocks will remain available for speedy, efficient authoring when you don't need bespoke layouts.
- NB. Copy to Author is not supported with Custom Content Blocks
Mobile Navigation: Vertical Scroll Snapping We've introduced a new option to enable vertical scroll snapping, creating a more familiar web experience for learners navigating content on mobile devices. This will work for content blocks in general but also works really well for projects with just videos in.
- Modern App-Like Experience: Similar to browsing TikTok or Instagram Reels, the screen will automatically snap to the top of the next content block when a user scrolls with their thumb.
- Per-Course Control: This feature can be toggled on or off per course within your project's brand style settings (located under the navigation controls), giving you total flexibility over how learners interact with your mobile content.
Automated Course Navigation Component To drastically speed up your build time and make menu creation more efficient, we are launching the new Course Navigation component.
- Automatic Generation: Instead of manually creating buttons, this component automatically adds items to your menu as you add pages to your project, linking them to the correct destinations.
- Chapter or Page Level: You can choose whether to present individual pages or broader chapters within the menu.
- Note: If you prefer to manually design your menus, the traditional Grid Menu is still fully available for bespoke setups.
Info Panel Design Updates We’ve made a targeted visual enhancement to the Info Panel component. You now have additional design options to choose exactly where images are displayed within the panel, giving you tighter control over your visual layouts.
