Captions help expand the accessibility of your course, making your content easier to engage with by a wider, more diverse audience. You can upload caption files to your videos to provide closed captions for learners who are deaf or hard of hearing, or subtitles for those who may not speak the language used in the video.
You can add multiple caption files at once to a video, allowing your users to choose the captions that will assist them best. The captions can be toggled on or off using the CC button on the video container.

Before you begin
You must upload a video to your course first before you can add captions to them. See Adding videos to your course to learn how to do this.
We support caption files in either VTT or SRT format.
Note: It is only possible to add captions to videos that you have uploaded to Elucidat. To enable or add captions to a video embedded from a third-party service like Youtube, you will need to set it up at the provider's side. |
