Building out the structure of your Project can be made much quicker by copying and pasting. You can use common keyboard shortcuts to copy, cut, and paste components in a section, or entire pages.
When a component or page is copied or cut, it is added to a clipboard. This can then be pasted from the clipboard into different areas of your Project.
Copying and pasting a component
Components can be copied, cut, and pasted into any of your pages. This is useful if you have a component you'd like to use as a template for another. For example, a question can be copied and pasted to quickly build out an assessment.
1. Select the component you'd like to copy. When a component is selected, it will show a blue border around it.
2. Use CTRL+C on Windows or ⌘+C on Mac to copy the component to your clipboard. Alternatively, use CTRL+X or ⌘+X to cut the component and add it to your clipboard. An alert will show to let you know if the component has been successfully copied:
3. Select the component you'd like the copied component to be pasted underneath. For example, if you'd like your question to appear underneath an Accordion, select the Accordion.
4. Use CTRL+V or ⌘+V to paste the component into your Project. Repeat as many times as needed.
Copying and pasting a page
You can also copy and paste entire pages.
1. Select the page you'd like to copy in the Project overview menu. The page name will darken when selected.
2. Use CTRL+C (Windows) or ⌘+C (Mac) to copy the page to your clipboard. Alternatively, use CTRL+X or ⌘+X to cut the page and add it to your clipboard.
3. Select the page you'd like the copied page to be pasted underneath
4. Use CTRL+V or ⌘+V to paste the page into your Project. Repeat as many times as needed.
