Audio can be a great way to supplement your course's text and imagery, offering a richer and more dynamic experience for your learners.
Audio components contribute to a learner's progress so they will be required to listen to them all the way through to complete them. If you'd prefer to use audio as an optional way to listen to the text on screen, you can create text-to-speech audio instead. These audio files are not required to be listened to by learners but can be a useful way to provide an alternative way for learners to absorb information.
