Creating a SCORM package from your Project

When you've finished building your Project, you can export it as a SCORM package so it can be uploaded to an LMS and shared with your learners.

You can export the course in either the SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 format. Both formats have some differences in the way they collect and report your learners' progress and scores. For more information about these formats and how they differ, see Understanding the differences between SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004.

Making a direct export from your Project

  1. Open the Project you'd like to export
  2. Select Export in the Project's top toolbar:

3. Open the Export for LMS accordion to reveal the configuration settings:

4. Choose the SCORM mode you'd like to export your course as:

  • SCORM 1.2—widely compatible with LMSs but more limited in tracking
  • SCORM 2004 4th edition—more flexible tracking but not as widely supported by LMSs

5. If you have Analytics enabled, select your preferred data capture options (see Configuring a course's learner data capture settings for more information):

i. Toggle Capture Analytics for this Export? to enable or disable data capture:

  • On: Learner results like score and status will be captured for this course
  • Off: No learner data will be recorded or reported. If this option is chosen, it will also toggle Capture Personally Identifiable Information (PII)? off.

ii. Toggle Capture Personally Identifiable Information (PII)? to enable or disable collection of personal data:

  • On: Learner names and email addresses will be captured and reported to Elucidat Analytics
  • Off: Personal information will not be recorded and learners will remain anonymous in Elucidat Analytics

6. Select Download SCORM to export the file from the platform. The package zip file will begin downloading to your computer immediately.
